Something I Forogot (Typo I know but I like!)

A quotable quote that Manrong said that day was..

It was something till this extent..

Stop comparing to what you are doing for God and what another is doing for God. Rather, think of how much we are doing from what God has called us to do, and how much of it we aren't doing.

You see, we like to gripe about how this person seems so be doing less for God, and we feel like we're doing a lot just because we are in a high commitment ministry and it may seem like its taking up a lotta time. And so we should... (cf. Above para)

Is anybody out there? Gimme a shoutout yo!

YeY! posting my first comment here!!

Anyway, i can't agree with u more on that. maybe not COMPARE, but it helps spur me on to do more when i see someone doing sooo much. sometimes, we limit the options of serving God...like casting away the thought of missions or going full time. "what say you?"

anyhow, i don't limit God or whatever, i even say you can call me if U so desire.. you know? but as that Gary dude said, you are full time ministers of God, whereever you are!

"me me me. I do this, I do that...you? you lazy lazy bum."

yes, guiltily, that runs in my head a bit. pointing fingers and mumbling under my breath. thanks for reminding me it's WE.

:)not to be inane, but shouldn't it be

Just a thought

Deeds don't get people into heaven. One is no less a Christian because one serves no ministry.
I mean it's all good taking a collective point of view as a church rather than an individual but then again, ive noticed collective rivalry. It's more like comparing what a group of members of the church have done as opposed to another group. I don't think its a conscious effort but i know it exists and it sucks. I hate these cliques of 'elitist' Christians.

Peer pressure as an inspiration to do gods work is a danger. One is spurred by man and not god. Not wrong, but a danger. (what danger? That's how cults start.) Be sure who you are inspired by is god inspired.

Disclaimer: I am not discouraging ministry but rather peripheral subjects in kind. Use god guided discernment with what i (or anyone for that matter) say.
