A Glorious Day for Local Music

Thank you one and all for coming to support Recluse at Zouk yesterday. The coolest part was seeing Pastor coming to Zouk, like how cool is that?

I was glad to see all my dear dear friends, Jenn, Jeanie, Maisie, Joey, Pastor Cuixian, Pastor Becky, Manrong, David, Michelle, Shaun, Jared, Boon Kiat, Ben, Theo, Sharon Babi, I bet I missed someone out and I'm sorry if I did, but I appreciate all who turned up, you guys rock and our music making is made all so much better and worthwhile due to your support!

My parents, Papa and Mummy, thank you so much for coming, and Daniel's mum and Jason's mum, we got unilateral support, I love my parents! Thanks also to Joe and Serene my parents' friends who are not much older than me, I got cool parents lah, what can I say.

The singer of Electrico said that the crowds going for local gigs are getting better and I must say I agree, it could be better still!

I think we all must make conscious efforts to go for gigs, listen to their music, really listen, not go there wait for your turn to play and listen just because you're there but really listen to everyone.

O I got carried away, did I say that Recluse was a runner up (no order) in yesterday's Power Jam's finals? $500 bucks prize money and many congratuliations, thank you again so much people!

Wuv,
Liang!

Great Weekend

Greater weekday, I'm on mc.

Joey's birthday party on Sunday night was great, the speech, the music, the saboh, the works.

I had band practices on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today, Monday. Why? Because Recluse, my band will be contending with 4 other bands on Thursday evening at Zouk. Sms 'POWER' to 98209800 and the reply will be your ticket to Zouk! See www.power98.com.sg for more details

Ok screw the wishlist below, it's really a WISH list.

I like grungey t-shirts, saw some in Zara, Topman, even Far East Plaza shops. I like earth colours, brown, green but I like girlish colours also, pink, purple, not hot pink ah. M is a safe size to buy cos I like my shirts fitting.

I love music, CDs rock my world. Jimmy Eat World's new album, Last Days of April's albums.

I also really dig Paul Frank stuff. .) Better now? Cheap cheap.

Or u can buy me a meal, I like free meals! Haha who doesn't.

editMy birthday's on the 9th of Nov just in case you don't know/forgot! Hehe...

editI want that toy they sell in actionman! The little green man that sits down and keeps nodding it's head!

Tupperware bottles aren't so cool anymore I could use a Nalgene... .)

The Dry Spell

Back in the desert, wandering, no rather, I'm just stagnating. The land of milk and honey lies not far away, not so near that I can smell it but near enough for me to see it in a distance.

---

Incompetent fool, me. A couple small tests and trials and I trip and fall like it is the apocalypse. I am wearing thinner and thinner, and I mistake rest for repair thinking that it happens automatically, it doesn't, I know.

One is supposed to feed on the word, ponder it, I know it all yet do it not at all. The flesh is so so weak.

Medical Update

Sickly glad that I'm ill; got a 1-day old fever, still burning up a bit so that probably means I'm gonna stay away from camp 2 more days! Being ill however, is such a dreadful thing; non-stop sneezing and killer coughing!

I've been poppin' many pills since the day I enlisted! Amoxycilin, Moxycilin, some anti-Histamin, Zander (or something like that), cough syrups, panadols and yada-yada... So weak, I'm so weak!

Seeing my feet specialist later to get a memo, my feet still hurt even with the new insoles, if I get downgraded I'll most likely be able to spend more time with family and serving in church!

Pray for the sick boy! Thank you!

A Showparade Of My TIRRs

I got sick of Pitas' crawling slow updates; figured moving back to this blogspot mass-blogsumerism thing would satisfy my very singaporean need of instantism. What with all our sms-es, cup noodles and everything else internet.

This weblog is meant to snap that thing which we call thoughts/ideas/realisations/revelations yada-yadas swirling in my mind in that particular moment and... I just had a TIRR! (short for thoughts/ideas/realisations/revelations)

TIRR #01: The realisation that "everything else internet" should be instant but Pitas screwed it up by lagging in it's updates; it's as if I send them a snail mail and then they place the post on the blog!

Just as I was getting excited with all these TIRRs and thinking of how to phrase them nicely like how every Mass Communication student, no, not student, graduate should do. Alas they leave my mind in a flurry, like piss into a bush.

I think I just need more practice.

Oh and by the way, this is just a soft-launch (or temp holding site, I haven't decided yet) for my nu-blawg, maybe we can rename the band that! What say you bandmembers? I love this template!
